ESTATE OF GRACE

Villazzo rental properties offer consummate service in venerable locations

In Miami you can stay at a former homer of Al Capone. In Aspen you can stay in a five-bedroom cabin slopeside in the Highlands. And in Marbella you can stay at a 10,000-square-foot villa overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and North Africa. All of these properties are part of Villazzo's international catalog of carefully selected villa rentals. "Big hotel chimes do a great job with their amenities and services, but lack a personal touch", says Villazzo creator and owner Christian Jagodzinski. "Boutique hotels and villa rental brokers can provide a unique place for you to stay, but they're often unreliable when it comes to fulfilling the needs of a luxury traveler. Our company takes the finest homes in different regions and creates private, full-service, hotel-like atmosphere complete with room service, spa treatment, housekeeping and concierge."

Our company takes the finest homes in different regions and creates private, full-service, hotel-like atmosphere complete with room service, spa treatment, housekeeping and concierge."

Since starting the company in 2002, Jagodzinski has amassed a portfolio of 10 villas peppered throughout Miami, St Tropez, Marbella and, most recently, aspen. So far, he has successfully chosen locations where the supply meets the demand. Because each villa must be impeccably managed and maintained, says Jagodzinski, they all need to be located within 30 minutes of a regional Villazzo management office. We are very careful about the homes we put into our program", he explains. "There are a lot of expensive houses in the south of France or Spain, but just because a house is worth $10 million on paper doesn't mean that it will have things like high- speed Internet, a safe, a DVD player or even air-conditioning, which are all amenities our clients expect."

Once a house is chosen, décor is updated as needed, all of the homeowners' personal effects are removed and hotel amenities like bathrobes, wine and cigar selections and welcome baskets are added. Each Villazzo property also includes a hospitality phone with presets of housekeeping, room service and concierge. "A lot of times when you rent a villa through a broker, you give them a check and then they disappear", says Jagodzinski. "We make ourselves available as much as needed o provide everything from a private chef to a chauffeur." Also different from other villa rentals, which have several different companies managing and marketing their homes, Villazzo maintains exclusive management of each one. Prices range from about $20,000 to $90,000 per week, depending on the size and location.
